Gemma Weekes is a multidisciplinary artist and rampant experimentalist with words and sounds. Critically-acclaimed author of the novel Love Me (Chatto & Windus) she is also a proud mama, poet, playwright, beatmaker and composer who has been a long time collaborator with Third Stream. In addition, she's collaborated with Nyugen Smith on his musical debut Algoriddim and created soundscapes for numerous projects including poetic short film Kukumanada (Dancing with Words) and physical theatre piece Foreign Bodies. Her work has been published widely in anthologies and journals, most recently in Glimpse (Peepal Tree) the very first anthology of Black British speculative fiction. She has written several screenplays for BBC show JoJo & Gran Gran and also collaborated with The Line Animation as a writer and story consultant for clients including Riot Games, Acura and Chobani. Currently she is working on her second book, a verse novel entitled GRI-GRI.
